Former Miss Universe Australia Erin McNaught is still recovering from injuries sustained two months ago while filming SAS: Australia.

The model said the brutal military-style reality show “almost broke” her physically and mentally.

In an interview with Who magazine, the 38-year-old said: “I passed out underwater, got black eyes, tore my muscles in my left shoulder and lost about 7 kg.”

“I felt like I almost died on the first day! The physical side was tough, but the mental side was tough too, ”she added.

On the first day, all prominent recruits had to fall backwards from a helicopter into icy water and swim to the shore without assistance.

Erin, who has already shared photos of her badly injured body from the fall, described the extent of her injuries from the stunt.

I landed face first horizontally. I went black underwater, lost my left eye for a while, and had two black eyes for five days, ”she said.

The mother of two added that despite her best efforts to “massage” herself an additional 6kg before the show, she had lost more than 6kg while at SAS: Australia.

While doing very physical chores, Erin explained that they lived on “meager rations.”

A total of 17 famous faces have registered for the intensive SAS selection course, which is carried out by an elite team of soldiers from the ex-special forces, also known as the “management staff”.

Sydney PR Queen Roxy Jacenko, 40, was the first to voluntarily retire from the series during the first episode due to a pre-existing injury.
