Princess Beatrice’s Heartbreak: How Beatrice Will Be Compelled to Miss Something...

Princess Beatrice is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and the sister of Princess Eugenie. Beatrice has made headlines in recent months after tying the knot of her millionaire real estate developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a secret ceremony during the lockdown. Beatrice has already had to massively downsize her wedding ceremony due to the pandemic and will be devastated to have to miss another special occasion.

Beatrice’s younger sister Eugenie also made headlines after announcing that she and her husband Jack Brooksbank were expecting their first child.

The palace’s official announcement read: “HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021.

“The Duke of York and Sarah, the Duchess of York, Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are pleased with the news.”

For Beatrice and Eugenie, however, the occasion may not be as enjoyable as originally anticipated after London was recently added to Level 2 lockdown restrictions – meaning indoor households cannot mix.

This is certainly a blow to Beatrice and Eugenie, who will no doubt have been looking forward to planning the baby’s arrival together.

Eugenie and Jack, who recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary, currently live in their Kensington Palace Cottage.

Beatrice’s apartment at St. James’s Palace is a short drive from Eugenie’s three bedroom house in the palace grounds.

The new rules mean the royal siblings and their parents cannot see each other indoors and can enjoy traditional pregnancy milestones like a baby shower.

“I’m enthusiastic about both of them and at the age of 60 I can’t wait to become a grandmother.

“Admitting a new baby to the York family will be a moment of deep joy.”

However, Eugenie’s baby doesn’t have a royal title and can’t use HRH styling.

Royal Editor Emily Nash stated, “From today’s perspective, Princess Eugenie’s baby will not have a title, or we will HRH style because these are passed down the male line and Jack does not have a title.

“The Queen could change that, but only by giving Jack his own title or by changing the rules for inheriting titles by granting the letter patent.

“He or she will be known as Master or Miss Brooksbank, much like most of the Queen’s other great-grandchildren, such as Savannah and Isla Phillips, Mia and Lena Tindall, and Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.”

Princess Eugenie’s baby will be the ninth great-grandchild of the Queen and Prince Philip.

Already great-grandparents of Savannah and Isla Phillips, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Mia and Lena Tindall and Archie Harrison-Mountbatten Windsor.
