Coronation StreetMary Taylor suspects Pat Phelan might hit the cobblestones next week.
Mary (Patti Clare) fears the worst when she hears strange noises from the attic of the Grimshaw house.
When Mary decides that Phelan’s ghost must be causing trouble, she recruits local pastor Billy Mayhew to perform an exorcism on number 11.
Billy agrees to help, but he and Mary are both stunned when Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) suddenly comes down the stairs. Todd is hiding in the attic, which explains the strange noises.

Speak with Digital spy and other media outlets, Daniel Brocklebank – who plays Billy – laughed, “It’s an absolute gem of a scene. When I read it, I literally squealed!
“Patti is just fabulous like Mary. It’s brilliant because it goes from high comedy to bang, absolute drama. It is Corrie Perfect – there are very few shows where you can play comedy and drama on the same show, let alone the same scene. It was an absolute joy. “
This is the first time in three years that Billy has seen his ex-partner Todd, which creates a confusing mix of emotions for him.

Daniel continued, “Letting Todd go down the stairs after three years is like a slap in the face. At first it is incredulous – he asks himself, ‘Do I really see what I think I see?’
“Then there is the realization and an absolute mix of emotions – from anger to the joy that Todd is not dead. Billy doesn’t know what to think right now.
“Then the following scenes were beautifully written and brilliantly staged. We sat down and talked for a long time before we shot it to pinpoint all the nuances. I look forward to seeing you. “
Coronation Street will broadcast these scenes on Monday, October 19th at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
