Investigations revealed that the defendants, following a dispute between the first defendant and the victim, revealed that the defendant had forged his identity card to escape the execution of a prison sentence. They all participated in killing him and hid his body by burying it in a hole prepared by the first accused in the apartment, and they also stole his belongings after the incident.

The accused, Ashraf Hamed, accused of killing a British University student, Osama, in the Al-Rehab area, said that the victim threatened him with his daughter, “Habiba”, that he would blow him up after he learned that he had been sentenced 20 years ago to 25 years in prison in a drug case.
The accused confessed, through a video of the Ministry of the Interior – in which he represented the crime, that he decided to get rid of his daughter’s fiance, so he contacted him by phone, and told him to come to give him some money, and said, “I let 5 grab him, suffice him, and throw him on the bed, to the point that he provoked me and I had to suffocate him until he died, and I pulled him.” To the kitchen, and I was making a hole in which a wooden box was placed, I threw it inside, and over it a sack of coal to absorb the wind.”
The second accused (the victim’s fiancee), Habiba Ashraf Hamed, admitted in the investigations – according to the Masrawy website – that she knew her father’s intention to kill her fiance Bassam Osama, saying, “My father told me to call Bassam and tell him to come to Al-Rehab because I brought people to kill him, and I called him and told him that my father wanted to give him 250 thousand pounds because Packing the apartment in which we are going.

Habiba (20 years old) said that her relationship with Bassam began 8 years ago in school and a love relationship developed between them, adding that their relationship developed, “we used to deal with some of the clothes of married people”, but she did not reach the engagement officially because of the study.

Habiba added, “I loved Bassam very much, and I never hated him, and he also loved me, and we were about to get married. We have been married for several years, and we agreed on every need. And Habiba continued, “The week before the holiday, my father understood that if Bassam reported him, he would go to hell, and that his life depended on my help for him. The accused added that she had had sex with the victim a lot in the last three years and even a month and a half before the incident, and that they were taking advantage of the absence of their parents inside the two houses, stressing that he broke her virginity when she was 16 years old.

The accused denied the occurrence of an official or customary marriage with the victim, Bassam Osama, or the knowledge of her parents, noting that the victim threatened her to expose her, “He told me, I will expose you and tell people that I sleep with you and that you are not a girl.”

But the surprise was when the forensic report revealed that the accused, Habiba Ashraf, was a virgin, and that the accused had not removed her hymen.

The forensic report stated that the accused was subjected to an examination on September 3, and no injuries or criminal violence were found on her body, and that the accused was “virgin”, and her virginity was not removed, as she claimed during the investigations.

For her part, “Najla Muhammad”, Habibas mother, admitted that her daughter had lured Bassam, but she denied knowing the intention of killing on the part of the father, stressing that she and her daughter fled outside Cairo for fear of being pursued by the security forces.
