Giza Governorate announced that, within the framework of the political leadership’s directives, to start implementing the works of a project The fast train The (Al Alamein – Sokhna) line, and the executing company carrying out the exploratory and mechanical pallet works, and the concrete bases for the project’s path, within the 6th of October City (West Somid Road), which connects between Al-Wahat Road and the extension road of the 26th of July Corridor.

The General Directorate of Giza Traffic will implement a complete closure of West Somid Street in the direction coming from Al Wahat Road towards the extension road of the 26th of July Corridor, starting from its intersection with Samira Mousa Street until its intersection with Al Nabatat Street, as well as closing West Somid Street in both directions starting from its intersection with Al Nabatat Street Until its intersection with the extension road of the 26th of July Corridor, starting at 1 am on Friday, until the completion of the works.

To facilitate the irrigated movement, the following diversions were made:

– Diverting vehicular traffic on West Somid Street in the direction leading to the 26th of July Corridor, specifically in the confined area from the intersection of West Somid Street with Samira Mousa Street until its intersection with Al Nabatat Street to two directions (walk left on Al Nabatat Street until its intersection with West Somid Street) (walk right on Al Nabatat Street) West Somid in the direction leading to Al-Wahat Road after diverting it in two directions).

– The movement of vehicles coming from the extension road of the 26th of July Corridor and wishing to walk in the direction of Al-Wahat Road, walk right towards Al-Nakhil Street until its intersection with Al-Nabat Street.

– (Total closure site): Walk left on Al Nabatat Street, then enter right on Al Nakhil Street, then continue walking until the extension of the 26th of July Corridor.

Major General Ahmed Rashid, the Governor of Giza, directed the officials of the Giza Traffic Department to take the necessary measures towards facilitating the movement of pedestrians and vehicles around the business during the period of implementation of the works.

The General Directorate of Giza Traffic deployed traffic teams and placed directional signs and traffic lights to warn vehicle drivers and guide them to new directions.

Giza Governorate calls on citizens who drive vehicles to abide by the instructions of traffic committees and directional panels to prevent overcrowding.
