The courts and branches of the expert interest of Sohag Governorate witnessed a strange incident when it was discovered that 47,358 case files had disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

These cases include various types of administrative cases, criminal and civil cases, misdemeanors and personal status cases between 2010 and 2016. These cases are restricted to the referral records in the interest of experts, and other cases that have not been paid are open so far, which prompted the Ministry of Justice and the Experts Department to form a committee from the Department of Experts. The technical inspection, in order to review all the work of the Tahta Experts Office, and includes the courts of Tahta, Tama, Juhayna and Maragha, and the speed of preparing a detailed report, according to the Egyptian newspaper Akhbar Al-Youm.

The committee’s report revealed that most of the cases concerned citizens who put their hands on state property lands, revealing the existence of gross administrative negligence by the administrators in the central administration of Tahta experts, each in his own right, by not following the instructions regulating administrative work.
