Dr. Eman Sayed, Head of the Planning Sector at the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, said that rain is expected during the summer this year in a new climatic phenomenon.

She added, during a telephone interview with the “Good Morning Egypt” program, broadcast on Channel One today, Tuesday, that the rain will not reach Cairo and will be in the south of the country from today until next Thursday in the governorates of Luxor and Aswan, as an extension of the rains that fall continuously in Sudan and Ethiopia, pointing to The expected rain is up to 10 mm and may result in weak torrential rain in some places.

She pointed out that light rain is expected today and heavy tomorrow, and will continue until next Thursday, noting that as a result of climate change, climatic phenomena have occurred that have not occurred before, such as rain falling on Cairo in 2020 that did not occur in 200 years.
