Coronavirus: ‘Long COVID’ Could Be Four Syndromes Affecting the Body Simultaneously...
“Long COVID” could be a combination of four different syndromes that affect the body at the same time, according to new research.

Coronavirus Patients who still have debilitating symptoms after seven months may have a mixture of post-viral fatigue syndrome, post-intensive care syndrome, permanent organ damage, and long-term COVID syndrome.

The study, conducted by the National Institute for Health Research, warns that around 60,000 people in the UK could live with long-term COVID.

Children are at risk too – and there is no guarantee that people who are less vulnerable will be at risk COVID-19 There are no persistent symptoms.

These include shortness of breath, chronic fatigue, brain fog, permanent organ damage, anxiety and stress.

Some patients also experience a “roller coaster ride of symptoms” that “move around the body,” said Dr. Elaine Maxwell, the review author.

Others suffer from “floating” symptoms that affect one part of the body for a while – only to be replaced by separate ones in another area, she added.

Dr. Maxwell said, “The list of symptoms is huge, covering every part of the body and brain.

“We believe the term ‘Long COVID’ is used as a capsule for more than one syndrome, possibly up to four.

“People without a clear diagnosis told us that the healthcare system often does not believe them.

“There are people who have never had hospital support, have never had a test, have no record of ever having had COVID other than their own personal history. You may suffer far more than someone who has been ventilated for 21 days. ”

She also warned that the number of people with long-term coronavirus symptoms is likely to increase as the pandemic progresses.

ONE separate Studie The report, published in the British Journal of General Practice, reported that long-time COVID patients struggled with simple tasks for months after their diagnosis.

A 34-year-old woman who participated in the study said she needed a break after doing tasks like peeling vegetables.

She said, “I have to do one term paper, sit down for 15, 20 minutes, and then do the next one, which frustrates me. It’s like peeling potatoes, I can’t peel the carrots right afterwards. ”

Meanwhile, there were warnings of an increased number of children under 65 who died of heart disease as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The British Heart Foundation found that there have been more than 800 “excessive deaths” from heart and circulatory disease in England and Wales since the outbreak began in the UK.

This means that 800 more people have died from heart problems in the past five years than the average.

The charity is urging anyone with symptoms to have them checked out and give priority to heart patients in the hospital when the second wave of the virus hits.
