The study published in the scientific newspaper “PNAS” stated that the cats and dogs that were infected with the emerging corona virus did not suffer from “Covid 19” and did not suffer any health deterioration.

The researchers published this study in order to be reassured that animals, pets in particular, do not pose a threat in light of the outbreak of the epidemic.

Academics and researchers from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Colorado participated in the study.

Since cats pick up the virus and can be shed from their body to the outside, many wonder about the reason, which makes this animal harmless, because it does not transmit the disease to humans, according to what is known so far.

And some experts believe that this matter is mainly due to the large number of people infected versus the lack of infections among cats, and therefore, it is the person who transmits the infection to the animal, and not the other way around.

The researchers put an amount of the virus in the noses of the animals, after they were subjected to anesthesia, and when they woke up, they had contact with other animals.
