US electric car maker Tesla is recalling more than 475,000 cars in the US, equivalent to its total worldwide sales last year as a whole, due to technical issues that increase the risk of accidents.
And Bloomberg News Agency indicated today, Thursday (December 30, 2021), that Tesla intends to recall all “Model 3” cars that were manufactured during the period from 2017 to 2020, which amounts to 356,309 cars.
The US National Traffic Safety Administration stated that the camera cable may be damaged as a result of opening and closing the tailgate, which prevents the image from appearing on the driver’s display screen.
Tesla has also decided to recall as many as 119,000 Model S cars assembled as of 2014 due to a faulty front hood lock, which could cause it to open unexpectedly. Tesla said it would fix both bugs for free.
Earlier this year, Tesla fixed the computer application in more than 285,000 cars in China. Most of these cars were delivered in recent years to treat problems related to car security, according to the Chinese regulatory authorities.

Car design – from the stagecoach to the “space” car
A motorized stagecoach
This car, designed in 1888 and reminiscent of the “cabriolet”, was the first car Karl Benz offered for sale. The car, which received the patent, was actually two-seater, but it also had a front seat. In 1888, Berta Benz, the wife of a German inventor, made the first car trip with her two sons, during which she covered hundreds of kilometers to become a legendary trip, and after that, motor cars are constantly being developed.

Luxury, elegance and comfort in travel
The stagecoach dominated automobile design, until the 1920s. Hence the term “horse” for a car engine. The new look of the car resulted from placing the engine in the front area. For people to sit upright behind each other, as here in this 1922 Hispano-Suiza Type HB6. It was a more efficient car, but it was also a luxury item that few could afford.

Electric wipers for clear vision
Continuously, “Auto Technology” was also further developed. Auto parts supplier Robert Bosch made some groundbreaking innovations, including an electric motor for windshield wipers in 1926. Before that, windshields were cleaned with mechanical wipers or by hand. Since then the electric motor has prevailed.

Czech streamlined design
The modern car design journey continued. Here, a French magazine is advertising the Tatra 77, which appeared on the market in 1934. It is a brand of Czech manufacture, here the body of the car took the towed shape and was tested in a wind tunnel, it is considered the first aerodynamic car in the world. Hence advertising has become increasingly important for marketing.

Airplane car. The “Firebird” car, with its wonderful design and wings on the right and left, steals the attention of all designs so far. The design, which came in the form of a fighter plane in 1953, was a progressive idea. It had a glass dome, joystick-shaped steering wheel, air conditioning and a gas turbine engine. The Firebird 1 is the prototype of an entire series of Firebird cars.

Assembly lines and mass production
Like any other industry, the auto industry is affected by the mechanization process. With the invention of the production line by the American company “Ransom to Olds” at the beginning of the twentieth century, the era of mass production in the automobile industry began. In 1978, it was Daimler, the German company, who ushered in the era of robotics in the automobile industry. This has greatly reduced the work that the worker gets dirty, such as painting.

Electric pickup car
Tank-like design. The truck designed by Tesla is supposed to accelerate more than a Porsche. This futuristic design is inspired by the American movie “Blade Runner”. It is made of stainless steel, which is also used in space rockets to the degree of resistance to a sledgehammer. All previous models and more are on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, until April 20, 2020. Prepared by: Sabine Olze/Sh.
