Oil prices stable without change

Oil prices closed largely unchanged today, as Tropical Storm Nicholas caused torrential rains and blackouts in Texas, but caused less damage to energy infrastructure in the United States of America.

Brent price:

Brent crude rose 9 cents to $73.60 a barrel, after hitting a session high of $74.28.

West Texas Crude:

US West Texas Intermediate crude also recorded a rise of one cent at $70.46, after touching the highest level at $71.22.
