Hyundai Motor today, Thursday, unveiled the design of the GV70 under its independent brand name Genesis as it seeks a share of the high-end car market.
The mid-size GV70 is the second sporty model from Genesis after the launch of the GV80 SUV in January.
Hyundai applied its “sporty elegance” design language to the GV70 after it applied to the GV80 sports cars and the G80 sedan.
“The LG V70 comes with elements that distinguish the design of Genesis cars, including the deep grille, high-tech quadruple lights and large front air inlets,” Yonhap quoted the company as saying in a statement.
Hyundai is planning to launch its second SUV Genesis in the domestic market during the fourth quarter of this year.
Its Genesis line includes the G70 sedan, G80 sedan, G90 sedan, and GV80 SUV.
It is planned to add the JV 70 quad and all its electric vehicles by 2021.
